What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

By sending us a message via the contact form we receive your name and email address though our inbox where this information is stored in the form of a normal email. This information is not retained on our web server.

Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. Several other cookies are created, linked to website usage analytics and external services. You can selectively decide which of these cookies are created via the cookie message bar or the floating padlock symbol at the bottom left of the website. 

When you log in, several cookies will be created to identify your subscription level, which determines access rights for various areas of the website. If you pay your subscription via Stripe’s secure payment system at systemacro.com additional cookies will get created. These cookies do not collect any data. Their purpose is to uniquely identify our users to guarantee a secure payment process.

External Payment Provider

When you subscribe to our services online,  our secure payment provider, Stripe, will send product purchase notification on whether your subscription was successful or not. Also we will receive information from Stripe when your subscription has expired. We need this information to control user access right on our website. This information is deleted after logout and refreshed at the next login. To allow this exchange of information Stripe and systemacro.com use the same unique ID to link our access profile to Stripe’s payment profile.

We do not store any payment details, such as credit card numbers, expiry dates etc on our servers. This information is exclusively collected by Stripe, our payment provider.

Who we share your data with

When you subscribe online to out subscription services, we will share your login details with Stripe, our secure payment provider.

How long we retain your data

If you send us a mail via the contact form, the mail and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is the same as sending us an email through any other channel.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Website administrators can see and edit that information. We regularly review this information and delete inactive user profiles after a period of inactivity.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

Personal data shall be subject to additional safeguards to ensure this data is processed securely. For example, we work hard to ensure data is encrypted when in transit and storage, and access to this data will be strictly limited to a minimum number of individuals and subject to confidentiality commitments.
